Terms of Service

By using the detectorproof.com service (“the Service”), offered by DetectorProof (“we”), you agree to the following terms.

What it is

DetectorProof makes AI text sound like human writing, protecting what you want to say. You can use our service once without an account. A free account gets a total of 2,000 words per month (up to 500 words per request), shared across all free accounts using the same IP address or web browser. We'll let you know ahead of any change to this.

Your account

You must be 18 or over to use DetectorProof. Remember to keep your details correct and don't share your password. You are responsible for your own account, and you can always remove it from Settings at any time.

Using it responsibly

• Do not use this to break your school's, employer's or publisher's rules about using AI. You are responsible for what you submit and how you use the output from the tool, and we are not responsible for any academic, disciplinary or professional consequences.
• Only submit material you have the rights to, and nothing illegal.
• Do not try to break or overload the tool, access it automatically unless we say you can, or sell access to it.
• No training other AI models on what you get from us.
• We have created our MCP server so platforms such as Claude can help you humanize your content. Please don't build products on it, and only use it for yourself.
• Keep your API keys private. You're responsible for what's done with them.
• A review should be about your own experience with DetectorProof. We show every review, good or bad, and only take down spam, abuse or anything illegal.

No affiliation

This site is run independently from all the detectors, humanizers and brands mentioned here, and isn't endorsed by them. They're only listed to show what we've tested against. Their names and trademarks belong to them, and the results you see represent our testing at the time. Owners of any brands listed can request that we remove them.

Plans and payments

• Basic and Pro are subscriptions that you pay for either monthly or annually, at the price on our pricing page when you subscribe.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you choose to stop it. You can do this at any time from the Billing section. Your plan then runs to the end of the period you paid for.
• If you subscribe at a launch price (until 31 January 2027), it lasts as long as your subscription is active, whether that's Basic or Pro. It stops if you cancel and your current plan runs out.
• You'll receive an email 7 days before each annual billing date, and if you pay monthly, you'll get one before a payment every 6 months, telling you what you'll be billed and how to cancel your subscription.
• If we ever increase the cost of a subscription you're paying for, we'll notify you at least 30 days before the change comes into effect, so you can cancel before it happens.
• You ask for immediate access to DetectorProof when you sign up, so your right to cancel within 14 days after purchase ends as soon as your plan begins.
• API credit you buy is added to your account straight away. It doesn't expire, it goes if you delete your account, and it can't be refunded.
• For refunds: you're entitled to a full refund within 7 days of your first monthly payment, or 14 days of your first annual payment, if you've humanized fewer than 2,000 words. Please contact [email protected].
• This doesn't affect any rights you have under UK consumer law.

Affiliates

• From your account you can apply to become an affiliate, and we'll look at each one individually and might not accept it.
• As an affiliate you'll get 25% of any plan payments made by customers who sign up or buy within 60 days of using your link, for as long as they remain a customer. However we won't pay you for your own account.
• Each share is held for 30 days (during which time we can take it back if a payment is refunded or challenged), and once you've accumulated £20.00 it will be paid to you as a gift card, via PayPal or as a bank transfer through Tremendous, or as DetectorProof credit (worth 25% more).
• You should make clear you're an affiliate wherever you share your link (e.g. with #ad), not promote DetectorProof as a way to get schoolwork past checks, and not make promises about what detectors will find. Nor should you bid on DetectorProof in search advertising, or promote it in ways which are obviously unsolicited.
• If you breach any of these guidelines we can remove you from the scheme and keep any money earned that way. And we may alter the scheme, notifying you first.

No guarantees

AI detectors regularly update and vary from each other, so we cannot guarantee that any given piece of text will pass a particular one. We provide the Service as it is and as available. It may change or go offline at any time without notice.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any indirect loss you may suffer from using our Service, or from not being able to. Nothing here restricts what we can't lawfully restrict.

Suspension

We may suspend or close your account if you violate these terms, or cause any harm to other users or us.

Changes and law

We'll update the date above whenever these terms change, and using the Service after that means you accept them. This agreement is subject to English and Welsh law. If you have any questions, get in touch via [email protected].
